Becoming a VA
If you’re already diving head first into the world of content creation, but not actually bringing home money yet, I get it. I was right thee with you at the beginning of my journey! Blogging is a marathon, not a race. And while that’s all fun and good, it doesn’t exactly pay the bills!
Or maybe you’re just looking for a side hustle to make some more cash! Maybe you’re hoping to work for some of the best content creators in the industry to learn a thing or two!
No matter your reason, I can promise you that becoming a VA will be one of the best decisions you can make. You’ll have some consistent and reliable money coming into your bank account, make incredible connections and learn so much from the people ahead of you in this marathon!
What is required to join the program?
I want to offer my clients (content creators hiring a VA) the best options possible, so I do have a few requirements!
- First and foremost, I require that you have first hand experience in the industry. That ideally means you have already run your own blog or social media accounts, but doesn’t have to! Many content creators are looking for help with super simple tasks that just require you to know how to use Canva, Pinterest, write emails, etc. I’m sure you’ve got experience in some of those things!
- You must be able to offer a minimum of 10 hours per month. Sure, you could absolutely get a job working 10-40 hours per week, but my clients are looking for a minimum of 10 hours per month.
- You must have amazing communications skills. This means that while you don’t have to work every single day, you have to be able to respond in a realistic time period, or communicate your needs in advance.
- English must be your first language.
- You must live in the US.
- You absolutely must have a can-do attitude, work hard and be a great employee!
That’s it! Nothing crazy, just a great mentality and work ethic!
How much does it cost?
To join my program to become a VA it will cost a 1 time fee of $199. This will include the following:
- A 2 hour course walking you through everything you need to know to be the best VA possible. I include legal and tax information, interviewing tips, tasks that you need to be able to do for your clients, and more!
- Templates for creating your VA resume, practice interview questions and more!
- Quarterly training sessions so you can stay up to date on the latest information in the industry.
- Access to my VA job board. This means every time I have someone looking for a VA, if you fit what they’re looking for, they will receive your information and you’ll have a really good chance at an interview!
- A VA is NOT guaranteed, but is INCREDIBLY likely! Everyone I know wants to hire a VA (me included!) so the jobs are absolutely out there.
- If you land a job but are looking for more hours then you will stay on my job board until your time is filled up!
You’ll get so much help up front, plus once you land a job that price of $199 could be paid back in less than a week! That’s a good value.
How do you get me a VA job?
As soon as you sign up, I will have you fill out a questionnaire about yourself, your experience, and what kind of VA position you are looking for. Then you’ll be added to my list of VAs to match! As the VA job listings come in (which they do frequently) then I will send over your information if you are a great match for what they are looking for! You’ll have a great chance at getting an interview, and with my help you’ll kill the interview and hopefully get a job offer!
You’ll stay on my list of VAs until your hours are full and you’re happily working away as the best VA.
How much money can you make as a VA?
This obviously will depend on how much you charge and how many hours you can work. Our VAs start at $20 per hour and go up depending on experience and expertise! So you work 20 hours per week at $20 per hour, that’s an extra $1,600 in your pocket each month! Cha-ching!
