If you’re a soon-to-be momma, like I was not too long ago, you know how important it is to sneak in one last fabulous adventure before your little bundle of joy arrives. You deserve a babymoon in Europe to spoil yourself before the sleepless nights begin!
Trust me when I tell you that a babymoon is crucial when preparing to bring a newborn into your family! We just went on our babymoon recently and it was the perfect time to spend time with my husband, relax and mentally prepare for all that lies ahead. We talked about plans for the future, spent time on the beach, ate tons of delicious food, and walked a lot to help my very pregnant body not feel quite so sore!
Now, if you’re dreaming of a European babymoon, you’re in for a treat. Europe has it all – charming cities, picturesque landscapes, and a culinary scene no matter the city you are in. In this article, I’m going to take you away to some of the best destinations in Europe where you can pamper yourself and your growing bump while making memories with your partner.
Whether you’re craving gelato in Italy, exploring fairytale castles in Germany, or strolling through historic streets in Spain, I’ve got you covered! So, find the perfect stop (or stops!) for you and enjoy the perfect European babymoon.

Babymoon in Lake Como, Italy

When I think of a perfect babymoon in Europe destination, Lake Como in Italy instantly comes to mind. Located in the northern part of Italy, it’s easily accessible by flying into Milano. This beautiful lake is not just romantic but is also an oasis of relaxation, especially for expecting parents.
One of the many perks of Lake Como is that its three main towns – Bellagio, Menaggio, and Varenna – are effortlessly reachable by ferry. This means less stress and more sightseeing. I especially loved walking around these towns, soaking in their serene atmosphere. Take a boat ride across the shimmering waters of the lake. It is both refreshing and peaceful. Don’t forget to visit Villa Balbianello, one of the most stunning villas in the area.
Consider staying at the Hotel Excelsior Splendide in Bellagio. It’s a stone’s throw away from the ferry stop and offers a relaxing pool, perfect for some downtime. A word of advice? Stick to Bellagio, Menaggio, or Varenna for your stay. They’re well-connected by the mid-lake line. And avoid driving around the lake. With its narrow roads, it can be more stressful than scenic. Lastly, staying close to the ferry is essential – the last thing you want when pregnant is climbing endless stairs in hilly towns!
Babymoon in Hvar, Croatia

Hvar in Croatia has the reputation of being a party town. But I found it a relaxing getaway on my 2-week trip to Croatia. You will enjoy its Mediterranean vibe and cultural heritage on your babymoon in Europe.
The best way to reach Hvar is to take a ferry from Split. The island would have ferry connections to other towns as well including Dubrovnik. I highly recommend staying at the Little Green Bay in Hvar for a romantic vacation. This is a boutique hotel in a secluded bay with its private strip of beach.
You can rent a car or take a day tour to see the lavender fields in Hvar. Just driving around this beautiful island would give you wonderful views. Enjoy a trip to Vrboska, the picturesque neighboring town with heavy Venetian influence. I also recommend a visit to Formica in Hvar town. You should be able to manage the steps to this 16th century fortification. The views over Hvar and nearby Pakleni islands are certainly worth it.
Babymoon in Vienna, Austria

One of the best places for a babymoon in Europe is Vienna since it is a super romantic city in Vienna. To get here, take a train to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Wien Hbf) or Vienna International Airport and use the fabulous metro to enjoy the best things to do in Vienna.
Upon arrival, enjoy the grand architecture and live music (3:30 pm to 8:30 pm) on offer at Cafe Central. Order a decadent sachertorte and spend the afternoon here. Just be aware that this cafe gets quite crowded. In fact, when I was here in the summer there was a line out the door by 9:00 am. So, arrive early to avoid a long wait or make a reservation online in advance.
However, my pick for the best sachertorte in the city is Sacher Cafe. Yes, you will have to wait in line but the chocolate cake with apricot jam served here is well worth it. Next, take a romantic stroll through Schönbrunn Park. Walk hand in hand before making your way through a cool hedge maze. Afterward, explore Schönbrunn Palace during a 45-minute self-guided tour.
Reserve tickets in advance since I arrived at 9:00 am with my Vienna Pass and had to wait until 1:00 pm to enter the Palace since tickets were sold out.
Next, see Gustav Klimt’s famous painting, The Kiss, at Belvedere Palace before spending a romantic night at Boutique HOTEL Donauwalzer. I loved the breakfast buffet and the whirlpool tub is awesome and perfect for a babymoon in Europe.

Babymoon in Prague, Czech Republic

Often dubbed the “City of a Hundred Spires” and boasting serene river views, Prague is one of the most romantic destinations located in the heart of Central Europe. What we love the most about Prague is that it is truly an all-year-round destination, so you don’t need to worry about planning your babymoon in Europe at a certain time.
Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic, and it’s easily accessible from most European cities via train or flight, making the journey hassle-free.
We recommend taking a boat ride along the Vltava River, offering picturesque views of the city’s historic architecture. Make sure you stroll the iconic Charles Bridge at least a couple of times during your stay to soak in its lively vibes.
On the west bank of the river, you’ll find the grand Prague Castle. The historic complex not only offers a deep dive into the city’s rich history but also panoramic views of the city. And, for a relaxed dining experience al fresco, head to Mala Strana, where the quaint cobblestone streets are lined with charming eateries offering authentic Czech dishes.
For accommodation, we recommend staying in one of the hotels with pools in Prague near the historic town center. Four Seasons Hotel, boasting excellent spa facilities and river views, is a fantastic option.
Babymoon in Santorini, Greece

Santorini is undoubtedly one of the most famous islands in Europe and is a perfect destination for a babymoon in Europe due to its romantic allure and serene atmosphere. An ideal retreat for expectant couples, this Greek island offers breathtaking sunsets over the caldera, pristine beaches and charming cliffside villages such as Oia and Fira.
Santorini is located in the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea. It is easily accessible by air via Santorini International Airport and by ferry from Athens and nearby islands. Once there, rent a car or take the local buses to explore the stunning coastline, hidden coves and unique black and red beaches.
There are so many wonderful things to do in Santorini. Charming villages such as Oia and Fira, perched on the crater rim, are well worth a visit. There are also famous archaeological sites to explore, such as Akrotiri and the ancient city of Thera. Another highlight are the beautiful beaches of Santorini, which will make your vacation an unforgettable experience.
The recommended travel time is approximately 5-7 days. This provides you with plenty of time to enjoy the magic of Santorini, do some sightseeing and also visit the beaches. To enhance the babymoon, book a private Santorini Flying Dress photo session!
There are fantastic hotels for a babymoon in Santorini. One tip is Art Maison’s Aspaki, which offers guests the best views of Oia and is a famous photo spot.
Travelers should know that it is advisable to book accommodations and tours well in advance, as Santorini can get crowded during high season. Traveling in late spring or early fall, when the weather is warm and pleasant, is definitely recommended.
Babymoon in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Amsterdam is renowned for being a romantic European city and has a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. The city is the perfect city for a babymoon in Europe as it has a great mixture of things to see and do. There are plenty of opportunities for relaxation in Amsterdam and I can vouch for the city having great babymoon activities!
Amsterdam is located in the Netherlands and is a very well-connected city by rail and airline. Amsterdam itself can easily be explored in a short, 2-day trip as the city is quite small, and with such good transport links, you’ll waste little time traveling between attractions!
The activity at the top of my list for a couple on a babymoon would have to be a cruise of Amsterdam’s canals. Choosing a private canal boat tour is an excellent way to relax while still taking in the views of the city’s top sights. We opted for a tour provider that offered drinks and snacks, turning our tour into the perfect date.
Amsterdam is well-known for having some beautiful green spaces within the city. I recommend heading to Vondelpark for a picnic to enjoy the scenery and take time to relax with your partner. Spending time in nature is one of the best things you can do to destress and reset.
I highly recommend the Pulitzer Amsterdam for accommodation. This modernly decorated hotel is set inside an authentic Dutch house with rooms overlooking the wonderful canals. The hotel has pretty much everything you could need including a bar and restaurant.

Babymoon in Trevignano Romano, Italy

It was almost by chance that I spent half of my first pregnancy in the small town of Trevignano Romano, about 50 km north of Rome. My partner and I were looking for a place to stay around Lake Bracciano, and this was the location we liked best. And I would highly recommended it to you for a babymoon in Europe.
The crystal clear waters of this lake were a real blessing during the scorching summer of central Italy. Trevignano Romano claims one of the four blue flag beaches in the province of Rome.
During my sixth month of pregnancy, I discovered I had gestational diabetes. Then Trevignano Romano’s long, well-maintained lakeside promenade came to my rescue. Here you can walk and enjoy the shade of lime trees, enjoying the lake landscape. Swans, herons and other aquatic animals populate the lake. Along the promenade you will find restaurants, cafes, gelato shops, and twice a month also the local craft market.
In Trevignano Romano, the historic center is just a stone’s throw from the lake. In the main piazza is a Roman Etruscan museum with free admission. Exploring the alleys of the village you will find two ancient churches, one medieval, the Church of Santa Caterina, and the other Renaissance, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta.
You can reach Trevignano Romano by driving about an hour from Rome. If you travel by public transportation, take a train from Rome Valle Aurelia (Metro Line A) to Anguillara Sabazia station and then a local bus to Trevignano Romano.
The most comfortable place to stay in Trevignano Romano is Hotel Malì, which is located on a quiet stretch of the lakefront promenade, close to all amenities.
Babymoon in Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos is the perfect place for a babymoon in Europe. Charming little streets, beautiful beaches, and romantic boutique hotels are what make this place so charming.
Mykonos is located in the Aegean Sea, in Greece. It does have its own airport, another common way to arrive is by ferry. Lastly, many cruise ships go to Mykonos as well.
One of my favorite things to do in Mykonos is exploring Little Venice. It is one of the most romantic places on the island, and I loved exploring little cafés and buying some handmade souvenirs. You can see the windmills or even relax on one of Mykonos lovely beaches. The white washed houses of Mykonos make for a lovely photo background.
One of the most romantic hotels in Mykonos is Cavo Tagoo. It has amazing suites with a view of the ocean that are perfect for a babymoon.

If you’re looking for a romantic getaway before your baby arrives, Sintra in Portugal is magical! Sintra is known for its palaces, making it an excellent destination for your babymoon in Europe! Sintra is a small town surrounded by Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Discover a landscape with relaxing forests, paradise beaches, and dreamy castles.
Some must-see places in Sintra are, for example, Pena Palace. It stands tall on the mountain overlooking the Sintra Mountains. Once a royal holiday home, it is a stunning, colorful palace on many travelers’ wish lists. The nearby Quinta da Regaleira is just as beautiful, with the gardens including the Initiation Well as highlights. If you prefer a quiet park and palace, discover the beauty of Monserrate. You can reach Sintra easily by public transport, and a train ride from the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, will only take 40 minutes. Taxis are an affordable option as well, but you can also opt for a day excursion from Lisbon. To fully enjoy your babymoon in Sintra, staying the night is great. If you want to splurge, the Tivoli Sintra Hotel is heaven on earth! Or enjoy a quiet time at Chalet Saudade, surrounded by serenity and a romantic spot before your family expands.
Babymoon in Biarritz, France

A relaxing babymoon destination that’s a bit off the beaten path but nonetheless lovely for a getaway is Biarritz. Located on the western coast of France, this laid-back beach town is the perfect place for expectant couples who want to have a beach getaway without worrying about excessive crowds. Not to mention, the small town offers plenty of activities to fill your itinerary.
For starters, I recommend visiting Phare de Biarritz. The lighthouse stands prominently along the coast, and the area surrounding the lighthouse provides one of the best views of the city. Another activity that shouldn’t be missed is spending time at the beautiful beaches. There are several smaller hidden beaches that are great for avoiding crowds. One that I enjoyed soaking up the sun at is next to Basta Rock.
To get to Biarritz, you can fly into an international airport in France such as Charles de Gaulle in Paris, and then take a train or you can fly straight into the Biarritz regional airport if you’re already nearby in France. For lodging, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Du Palais Biarritz. This luxurious hotel offers stunning ocean views and is just a short walk from downtown Biarritz!
Babymoon in Valencia, Spain

The chilled vibes of Valencia are perfect for a babymoon in Europe. You can go for a leisurely stroll through one of the most impressive parks in Spain and afterwards have some paella in the city where this traditional dish originated.
Valencia is a city on the east coast of Spain. It has an international airport and is very easy to get to.
The famous Turia Garden is a massive park built on the bed of a former river. The river was rerouted in the late 1950s since it caused many floods. Now the park is a popular recreational area that spans the whole length of the city. If you’re planning your babymoon for earlier in your pregnancy, renting a bike is a great option to see this beautiful park. I really enjoyed cycling through the park. Otherwise, a leisurely stroll is just as lovely and it’s one of the amazing free things to do in Valencia.
In the park, you can also find the most famous museum in Valencia, the City of Arts and Science. This museum complex is one of the 12 treasures of Spain.
The perfect hotel for relaxing after your stroll through the city is the “Only YOU Hotel Valencia”. It’s located right in the city center and the hotel has beautiful, bright rooms.
I simply loved my time in this underrated Spanish city and I’m sure you will too.
Babymoon in Ashford Castle, Ireland

Ashford Castle in Ireland is a luxury 5-star castle resort that checks all of the boxes necessary for the best babymoon ever! It is located just north of Galway, Ireland, and is easily accessible by car.
One of our favorite things about Ashford Castle is how romantic it is. Staying here will have you feeling like a character in a fairy tale story! The castle is very picturesque and is fully restored with all modern conveniences.
The rooms in Ashford Castle are elegant and so incredibly cozy! The oversized poster beds are fluffy and extremely comfortable. We could have enjoyed staying in our room the entire time if we had wanted to, haha!
There are multiple restaurants at Ashford Castle, but we recommend at least enjoying afternoon tea here during your stay. Not only are the teas and food items delicious, but it is an experience you won’t soon forget.
Ashford Castle has its own luxury spa, offering multiple services, including maternity massages. You can either book a relaxing massage by yourself or make it more romantic with a couples massage.
If you’re looking for a romantic, relaxing, all-inclusive babymoon destination, I highly recommend considering Ashford Castle. You won’t be disappointed!
Babymoon in Paris, France

Paris, France is one of the best places in Europe to visit on your babymoon, and my favorite travel destination. The City of Love is the most romantic place to spend quality time with your special someone! And it’s easy to reach Paris by flying into its international airports, Charles de Gaulle or Orly.
Spend your days enjoying all that Paris has to offer – enjoy decadent French pastries for breakfast, then stroll hand in hand along the Seine. If you enjoy visiting museums, spend an hour at one of Paris’ smaller museums, where you can enjoy the art without spending too much time on your feet. My favorites are the Rodin Museum (don’t miss the amazing sculpture garden) and the Orangerie (where you’ll marvel at Monet’s Water Lilies).
In the evening, experience the splendor of the City of Light on an incredible night tour of Paris. Take a romantic Seine River dinner cruise and see the beauty of Paris’ monuments all aglow. The highlight is of course watching the twinkling lights dance along the Eiffel Tower. Every time I visit Paris, watching the light show makes my heart happy.
Stay at the 5-star Hôtel Le Cinq Codet. Located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, this hotel is within easy walking distance of top Paris attractions such as Les Invalides, the Rodin Museum, and the iconic Eiffel Tower.
Babymoon in Rome, Italy

One of the most romantic cities in Europe is Rome, making it the perfect destination for a babymoon in Europe.
Being a popular destination, it’s really easy to fly into Rome, which is in central Italy. There are two main airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino. Both aren’t too far from the city center. I recommend you spend 2 weeks in Italy and start and end in Rome.
Rome’s atmosphere is very romantic, especially at night. The Colosseum during the day is great, but in my opinion, the Colosseum at night is incomparable. Seeing the golden glow of the lights against the millennium-old amphitheater was a true pinch-myself moment.
Aside from the Colosseum there are many things to do in Rome. You have the Trevi Fountain where you can make a wish by throwing a coin over your shoulder (a wish about your baby maybe), the Pantheon, the Vatican, the Spanish Steps and tons of other infamous spots.
Rome is walkable, but if you are further on in your pregnancy, you might prefer to use public transport. There’s a good and reliable public transport system around Rome, with stops near all of the main attractions. There’s a stop right outside the Colosseum, for example.
For this reason, I recommend staying in Seven which is by the Roma Terminal, which is pretty much an equal distance from all the sights.
Babymoon in Monte Carlo, Monaco

If you’re on the hunt for the ultimate luxurious babymoon destination, look no further than Monte Carlo, Monaco. Located in the French Riviera along the Mediterranean Sea, this glamorous city-state offers a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury.
First on your to-do list should be a leisurely stroll through the Jardin Exotique. My husband and I enjoyed walking hand in hand through the beautiful gardens, and we were able to take in breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
As a royal enthusiast, we loved exploring the Prince’s Palace, where the official royal family of Monaco resides. Check out the changing of the guard ceremony that takes place daily.
Want something more relaxing? Consider a beach day at one of the area’s famous beach clubs. The water was so blue, and you won’t find a more beautiful coastline than Monaco.
When it comes to accommodations, my partner and I found the Port Palace Hotel to be the epitome of romance and relaxation. Imagine waking up to the soothing sound of the sea and a view that’s nothing short of spectacular.
Monte Carlo is small and easily walkable, but if pregnancy makes longer strolls difficult, consider renting a car. Parking in Monaco is plentiful and relatively easy.
The closest airport is Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport in France. It’s just a 30-minute drive to Monte Carlo.
So, if you’re after a babymoon in Europe with luxury, relaxation, and a touch of glamor, you’ve got to put Monte Carlo at the top of your list.
Babymoon in Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza is often dubbed the party capital of Europe, this Balearic Island gem off the eastern coast of Spain has a more tranquil side that makes it an ideal destination for other types of vacation like a honeymoon, family trip and of course, a babymoon.
Direct flights from major European cities make it easily accessible from May to October. Once you land, the island’s compact size makes it easy to navigate, so you’re never too far from an idyllic relaxing experience.
Hire a car and explore the north of the island where azure mediterranean waves gentle lap against secluded beach coves. Ibiza Town’s UNESCO-listed old walled town, Dalt Vila has lovely cobblestone streets and romantic restaurants.
Pack a picnic and head to Cala d’Hort, a beautiful beach with a view of the mystical island of Es Vedrà. The calm waters are perfect for a gentle swim and the most perfect sunset. Take a leisurely boat ride along the coast to S’Espalmador and Formentera.
Indulge in a soothing spa day at a luxury resort like Hacienda Na Xamena which offers yoga classes, stretching, meditation and pilates and has a divine cliffside pool. Ibiza is truly one of the best places for a babymoon in Europe!
Babymoon in Crete, Greece

Crete is an amazing destination for a babymoon in Europe. You get the beautiful waters and amazing culture of Greece, without going to the busiest tourist destinations like Santorini.
To arrive in Crete you can take a direct flight to the island or fly into one of the other Greek islands and take a high-speed ferry. Make sure to check the vessel beforehand to make sure it is a large ferry to minimize how much rocking you will feel.
While on your babymoon you can enjoy the island’s charming villages, like Chania and Rethymnon, to do some shopping or eat some of the amazing Greek cuisine.
Crete is also perfect for relaxing on the beach. Stay at a resort that has beach access and food and drink service on the beach. There are even several resorts with suites with private pools with views of the ocean you can enjoy.
For accommodations, the Blue Palace is an amazing, quiet resort located on a bay. It takes about an hour’s drive from the airport until you find yourself next to a small Greek town perfect for grabbing authentic Greek food and doing some light souvenir shopping.
The beach is beautiful with a view of Kalydon, an Island and former leper colony. One of the resort’s best features is the breakfast with many options including local yogurt, honey and fresh fruits.
Babymoon in Marbella, Spain

Marbella is one of the best destinations in Costa del Sol (Malaga, Spain) for a babymoon in Europe as there are many activities suitable for pregnant women whilst the weather is beautiful – sunny and blue skies are the norm in Marbella regardless of the season.
One of my favorite places to visit in Marbella is its historic center. You can walk its charming white painted and cobbled streets decorated with flowerpots, sit down and enjoy a refreshing orange juice or mocktail on an outdoor terrace at Orange Square or even book a couple photoshoot experience!
Another fun activity I highly recommend during your time in Marbella is taking a boat trip; even better if it’s a sunset cruise, you can contemplate the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and get another view of Marbella. It’s a great activity for couples!
Lastly, I simply love walking on the Marbella beach promenade. The sound of the waves hitting the shore, the scenic sea views and the surroundings make it special.
If you stay in Marbella for more than a weekend, you might also want to visit other beautiful coastal towns or mountainside villages like Ronda and Mijas Pueblo.
However, if you prefer to relax during your babymoon, you can do so on Marbella beaches. Cabopino is one of the best beaches, but if you don’t want to go far from the center, La Venus Beach is good too.
For a romantic stay, Puente Romano Beach Resort is an excellent option. This luxury resort has everything you need – from numerous restaurants to a pool and spa. Also, it is next to the beach and offers unique experiences like olive oil tasting.
Babymoon in Glencoe, Scotland

If you’re looking for a romantic place to celebrate your babymoon, Glencoe, in the Highlands of Scotland, is the perfect destination.
I knew that this area was supposed to be beautiful, but I truly wasn’t prepared for how stunning it is—impossibly green mountains; rushing waterfalls; tons of adorable sheep; and a quaint town.
If you’re feeling up for a hike, the Glencoe Orbital Trail is a gentle hike that leads you past some of the most picturesque scenery the Highlands have to offer. For example, I loved seeing the filming location for Hagrid’s Hut from the Harry Potter movies, a gently rolling hill that’s completely surrounded by pine tree forests, waterfalls, and enormous mountains.
For something a bit less intense, consider riding the actual Hogwarts Express in Scotland! I absolutely loved my time aboard the Jacobite Express steam engine, which was used as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter movies and departs from the neighboring town of Fort William and runs along the Western Atlantic coastline. While I’m definitely a Potterhead, you definitely don’t need to be one to enjoy riding a vintage steam train through some of the most jaw-droppingly beautiful landscapes on the planet!
The Glencoe House, housed in a historic mansion, is the perfect place to have a romantic stay, with a giant fireplace to cozy up to and mountain views.
Scotland is known for being rainy, so it’s best to schedule your visit between May and August, its dry period. I visited during July and it still rained about half the days—so even if you’re visiting in the summertime, be sure to bring along a rain jacket!

Looking for a perfect babymoon destination in Europe? Head to Lucerne. This enchanting Swiss city offers a blend of romance, relaxation, and breathtaking scenery. It turned out to be our favorite city in Europe!
Located in the heart of Switzerland, Lucerne is easily accessible from major European cities. You can reach it by train, car, or even by flying into Zurich and taking a short train ride to this lovely town.
We wandered through the charming old town of Lucerne, and it felt like stepping back in time. The architecture, cobblestone streets, and iconic bridges of Chapel Bridge and Rathaussteg offered stunning views of the city and the surrounding mountains.
We also walked around the serene Lake Lucerne, and I have to say, the views were breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters and the backdrop of majestic mountains provided the perfect setting for relaxation.
While you’re in the area, check out Melissa’s Kitchen. We really enjoyed their daily menu special in a cozy and intimate atmosphere.
For your stay, check out the Art Deco Hotel Montana. The hotel’s lakeside location and elegant ambiance made it a haven of relaxation and romance.
Switzerland can be expensive, so plan your budget accordingly. Grab snacks from the supermarket. Also, check the weather before your trip to ensure you pack suitable clothing. Lastly, take it slow and enjoy the moments of tranquility and togetherness that Lucerne offers, as it truly is a gem in the heart of Europe.
Babymoon in The Cotswolds, England

When it comes to the best places for a babymoon in Europe, I highly recommend visiting The Cotswolds. Located in southern England, this remarkable region is often referred to as an area of outstanding natural beauty. From the moment I set foot in the area, I completely understood why.
Exploring pretty Cotswold villages such as Bibury, Castle Combe, and Broadway was a dream come true for me. These villages are filled with unique attractions, charming traditional pubs and photo opportunities around each corner. Every moment I spent in the area left me in awe.
As someone who loves stunning views, I was absolutely blown away by the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, picture-perfect homes and the unique architecture that the area offers. While discovering this picturesque region, I highly recommend making a visit to St. Edward’s Church in Stow on the Wold, wandering the grounds of Blenheim Palace and taking countless photos in the charming village of Bibury.
When it comes to deciding where to stay, I suggest treating yourself to a room at the Manor House Hotel. This luxurious five-star hotel is truly one-of-a-kind, offering beautifully traditional interiors and an enchanting exterior. With cozy beds, indulgent roll-top baths and a Michelin-starred restaurant on-site, you’re in for a delightful and pampering experience!
However, it’s important to keep in mind that getting around in this region can be tough. While you can reach the Cotswolds by train from various destinations across the country, public transport options within the area itself are limited. Therefore, if you plan to explore more than one destination, I recommend traveling by car, as it provides you with the freedom to venture off the beaten path and make the most of your babymoon experience.
Babymoon in Faro, Portugal

Faro, Portugal is the perfect place for a babymoon in Europe. It is a small waterfront city with a romantic vibe. Faro offers a rich history, and can be easily explored, as it is a small city. Additionally, many water activities are available, like boat rides to natural parks and beaches.
The city has many wonderful restaurants and cafes. Vila Adentro is a delicious eatery with fantastic seafood. Its cozy vibes are ideal for a couple’s babymoon. After dinner, stop into Choco & Nut for sweet treats like ice cream and pancakes.
Faro is along the southern coastline of Portugal – the Algarve region. It is easily accessible via the Faro International Airport. It can also be reached via a ~3 hour train from Lisbon, the capital of Portugal.
Eva Senses Hotel is an ideal place to stay in Faro. It offers a rooftop pool with a restaurant overlooking the water and the promenade. There are waterfront rooms, as well.
Babymoon in Split, Croatia

Going to Split for a babymoon is an incredible choice; it’s a dreamy escape. Croatia is nestled in the heart of Europe, along the picturesque Adriatic Sea. Split, the second-largest city in the country, is located on the Dalmatian Coast. This location made it an ideal choice for our babymoon in Europe, and here’s why:
Romantic Charm! Split exudes a romantic ambiance with its historic Old Town and charming cobblestone streets. Extra Relaxing Vibes! The laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle is perfect for expectant parents. You can leisurely explore the city, take long walks along the promenade, and savor delicious Croatian cuisine at your own pace. The city’s slower tempo naturally encourages relaxation.
Although we drove from Zadar, you can fly into Split Airport, which is well-connected to major European cities. Alternatively, you can also reach Split by ferry from nearby islands or by bus from various European destinations.
When you arrive, the flat streets are easily walkable, and you can explore Marijan Hill or relax on Bacvice Beach. But you can’t miss going to Diocletian’s Palace – a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a must-visit. While exploring the palace, we wandered through ancient ruins, quaint shops, and charming cafes. It’s a leisurely stroll with plenty of spots to rest.
We chose to stay in Split in a boutique hotel within the Old Town. There are numerous options available that offer a blend of modern comfort and historic charm. The intimate atmosphere and welcoming staff made our stay feel extra special.
The city’s historic charm, serene landscapes, and welcoming atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for our pre-baby getaway.
