Planning a Girls Weekend in Nashville? I’ve got you! I love this city so much, and it honestly makes the perfect backdrop for a fun, easy, unforgettable trip with your favorite people.
Nashville has that magical blend of nightlife, great food, outdoor adventures, and super walkable neighborhoods. As someone who calls Music City home, I’ve got you covered with an itinerary that’s equal parts fun, chill, and very country with tips and tricks to plan the perfect getaway.

Why Trust Me to Plan a Girls Weekend in Nashville?
Because I live here! I have lived in Nashville for more than 4 years now and have spent endless weekends exploring everything Nashville has to offer. I have done all the activities, explored all the bars, tasted all the delicious food and found the best places to hear live music. Most of the other blogs you’ll find were written after people spent just one weekend in Nashville on a girls trip, but I’ve spent endless weekends here with my girlfriends and have truly narrowed down the best places to go and things to eat. I even hosted my sister’s bachelorette party here!

Girls Weekend in Nashville Itinerary
Day 1: The Best of Music City & Broadway
If you land in town and your girls are ready for that classic Nashville vibe, start your trip downtown. Head straight to Broadway, the heart of music, nightlife, and neon lights in Nashville. It’s loud, fun, and packed with live music at any hour of the day.
Take your time strolling, popping into honky-tonks, grabbing drinks, and just soaking up the scene with your girls. If you want rooftop views, good food, and somewhere that’s always buzzing, spots like Friends in Low Places and The Twelve Thirty Club are such fun options. You can make a whole night of bar-hopping. There are TONS of bars on Broadway in Nashville worth checking out!
One of my absolute favorite things to do in Nashville that is absolutely perfect for a girls weekend is to go line dancing! Every Thursday-Sunday from 11am to 6pm Category 10 offers free line dancing lessons. Get your boots and get ready to learn to dance, laugh and be exhausted having some of the best fun in town with your girls.
If you want something extra special, I recommend booking a ride on a BYOB River Cruise. It is SO much fun to ride up and down the river through downtown drinking and listening to music.
You could also rent a party bus to ride around town and see the sights if that’s something you’re looking for. They’re HUGELY popular and many girls’ weekends in Nashville revolve around them. I personally am not a huge fan and would rather spend my weekend doing other things, but for many, this is a highlight!
For dinner, there are tons of options within just a few steps. If you want to eat at one of the honkey tonks, avoid all the basic ones selling bar food and head to Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa. They serve Mexican food that is way better than the burgers and fries elsewhere.
If you’re willing to eat elsewhere, another great option on the main strip is 5th and Broad, a huge building with a bunch of great options. For my sister’s bachelorette party, we ate at Blanco, which serves delicious Mexican food and of course incredible margarita pitchers.
Also at 5th and Broad is one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville, Sixty Vines. It’s a wine bar that serves endless wine options and delicious American/Italian food like charcuterie, pasta, pizza and more. We just went again for my birthday and it was the best time. Sit outside on the patio when it’s nice for views of Broadway and sip wine all night as you chat and laugh with your friends. It’s the perfect way to end the first night of your girls weekend in Nashville!
Looking into a travel credit card? I swear by the Southwest Credit Card for earning free flights around the US and the ability to earn the companion pass where you can take anyone on a flight with you for FREE!

Day 2: Outdoor Adventure + Authentic Music Experience
Not every girls’ trip needs to be one long party. Spend part of your getaway reconnecting with nature, then treat yourselves to the best way to spend an evening in Music City.
Start the day with a quick breakfast somewhere in town like Biscuit Love, Sky Blue Cafe or Snooze. We will do a fancy brunch tomorrow so enjoy something fairly quick today to give you more time to explore.
Lace up your walking shoes and explore one of my favorite nearby trails, maybe Percy Warner Park or Radnor Lake State Park. Both are close enough to the city to make it easy, but gorgeous enough to feel like a getaway from the buzz.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite for lunch, head back to the city for the best sandwich you’ll ever have at All’Antico Vinaio. It’s a chain based in Florence, Italy that brought their soft bread, freshly sliced meats and mouthwatering sauces to the US! We loved these during our Italy itinerary and I was SO excited when I found out they opened locations here.

Get dolled up for the evening and get ready for some live music. One of the most famous places to hear live music in Nashville is at The Bluebird Cafe. It’s been open over 40 years and most of the most famous country artists played here before they made it big. It’s the best place in town to see the up and coming artists in the smallest, most intimate music venue in Nashville. They have two shows every night of the week, and buying tickets the minute they go on sale is crucial. So plan ahead and make sure you snag tickets here for your girls weekend in Nashville!
The venue serves a light menu of apps and entrees and a full bar. Plan to eat dinner here during the show if you attend the first show, or have dinner first if you’re attending the second show of the evening.
Some other dinner options nearby if needed are Il Forno (for the BEST Italian food in the city and my favorite date night in Nashville), Hopdoddy (for a casual burger spot that has a great variety of really delicious burgers), or Emmy Squared (for some of our favorite Pizza in town).

Day 3: Boujee Brunch & Shopping on 12 South
Use your last day of your girls weekend in Nashville to take it easy, because you probably went hard this weekend and need some rest before jumping on the plane to head home.
Start your final day of your girls weekend in Nashville with one of the most trendy things to do in the city, brunch! There are some GORGEOUS and delicious spots for brunch in Nashville, here’s my favorites!
Cafe Intermezzo – Super cute, French style dining with a mouthwatering case full of treats. The food here is so yummy, and the coffee is exceptional. I loved the french toast, and my husband enjoyed his eggs benedict. But the best part was the Intermezzo Cappuccino. It’s a must when dining here!
The Hampton Social – An incredibly popular and “insta-worthy” spot for brunch in Nashville is the Hampton Social. Come here for the vibes, but stay for the yummy food and pretty drinks. But be warned, a reservation here is an absolute MUST.
Liberty Common – When my best friend visited for a weekend in Nashville, we went to Liberty common and loved our brunch here! The restaurant is also beautiful, the food was delicious, and again they offered some great gourmet coffee and fancy breakfast cocktails.
Milk & Honey – If you’re looking for a spot in the Gulch, you’ll want to have brunch at Milk & Honey. You’ll know you’re there when you see the crowds, this place is popular because it is so so good! I like how the menu is pretty unique, not the standard brunch items you might be used to, but it’s all super delicious.
The Buttermilk Ranch – Another beautiful and fun area of town is 12 South, and the best spot for brunch is The Buttermilk Ranch. It’s super trendy and popular and always has a super long wait, especially on the weekends. So be sure to have a reservation here too!

Spend some time in the other areas of Nashville today! Visit all of the famous murals around town. Start in the Gulch at the WhatLiftsYou Wings mural. Then head to 12 South and see the I Believe in Nashville mural. While you’re there, spend some time shopping. Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James, is right there along with some other great boutiques.
Lunch in 12 South is a great idea as well since there are a plethora of delicious spots to dine. We love Bartaco, Edley’s Bar-B-Que, and Frothy Monkey. And a trip to 12 South is never complete without ice cream from Jeni’s. If you’ve never been, this is an absolute must, they are our favorite ice cream shop in the city. It’s the perfect way to end a girls weekend in Nashville.

My Pro Tips for the Perfect Girls Weekend in Nashville
- Mix busy nights (downtown, rooftops, nightlife) with mellow days (hiking, brunch, local exploring). This way you don’t get completely worn out during your time in Nashville.
- Make reservations for everything! Most places in town will let you make reservations and often they’re basically required with how busy things can get.
- Don’t try to cram everything in. There is so much to do in Nashville that it’s impossible to fit everything in with just one weekend in Nashville. Pick the things that are most important to you and the girls and plan on coming back soon!
- Treat yourselves: rooftop drinks, live music tickets, even a boat ride. This is not something you get to do every single weekend so enjoy it!
- Nashville’s best when you visit local spots. Try small boutiques or markets, support local businesses, and discover those little gems you wouldn’t find otherwise.

Where to Stay for a Girls Weekend in Nashville
I’m all about picking a spot that makes your trip easier and way more fun. For most girls’ trips, I love staying somewhere walkable, especially near downtown or The Gulch. You’ll have quick access to restaurants, rooftops, and all the Broadway excitement without needing to Uber every five minutes. Plus, the hotels in these neighborhoods always feel super trendy and fun, which just sets the tone for the whole weekend! Here’s my favorites!

Getting Around Town
Nashville is pretty spread out, so having a loose transportation plan makes a huge difference for your girls weekend in Nashville. I love using ride shares for nights out, especially if you’re heading downtown, because parking can be chaotic and then you’d need a designated driver. During the day, it’s easy to drive to things like hikes, parks, or the neighborhoods a little farther out. Just know that traffic around dinner time can build, so give yourself a little buffer! But if you don’t have a car, don’t worry. Everything on this itinerary is very accessible with an Uber!

Best Time of Year to Visit for a Girls Trip
Honestly? Nashville is fun year-round, but the energy shifts with the seasons. Fall is my favorite, the weather is beautiful, and the city feels alive without being boiling hot. Spring in Nashville has that same vibe, with lots of outdoor events and the prettiest scenery. Summer is amazing if your crew loves boat rides and lively bars, but just be ready for heat and humidity. Winter is chillier but still so much fun, especially around the holidays when the city is decorated and festive, there’s many great Christmas things to do in Nashville!

What to Wear in Nashville
I swear Nashville is one of the easiest cities to dress for, cute but relaxed is the vibe. For daytime, you’ll want comfy shoes if you’re walking Broadway or exploring neighborhoods. At night, go a little dressier! Most women wear fun tops, dresses, denim, boots, or wedges. And if your group wants to go full “Nashville moment” with sparkles or boots… absolutely do it. You’ll fit right in!
