Map of the Best Things to do for Spring Break in Nashville
Things to do This Spring in Nashville
Fill up the best time of the year in Music City with these things to do!
1. The Secret Garden Pop-Up Bar at the Conrad Hotel
Address: 1620 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
Perfect for: Date Night or Classy Bachelorette Parties
Website: www.thistleandrye.com
First and foremost on the list of the best things to do for Spring Break in Nashville, grab your friends and run to the gorgeous Secret Garden pop-up bar at the Conrad Hotel. Located right where West End meets Broadway, the Conrad is a five-star hotel with comfortable rooms, beautiful city views, friendly staff, and most importantly, an incredible bar called Thistle & Rye.
Throughout the rest of the year Thistle & Rye is a beautiful and fun cocktail bar that serves delicious craft cocktails and yummy small plates. You can hang out on the rooftop patio playing lawn games with friends or at a table inside for a full meal. I love spending time at this bar for the sweet staff and delicious food and drinks.
But during the Spring they have turned the entire space into a Secret Garden themed pop-up bar, and let me tell you, they have outdone themselves! Everything in Thistle & Rye screams Secret Garden from the florals hung all around the space, to the specialty cocktail menu, complete with drinks named after the characters of the beloved novel.
We spent an evening in the Secret Garden, (no really, they even had some set up on the patio) enjoying this little slice of heaven among the bustling city below. While we were there we especially loved the Black Berry Robin, a fun take on a margarita with blackberry and rosemary; it was absolutely delicious. And I cannot forget to mention the epic Secret Garden large format cocktail, served in a glass purse complete with ice cubes in the shape of dogs. There was seriously no detail missed!!
As for food, small plates may be their specialty, but it was so filling and delicious we made an entire meal of it. I cannot pick a favorite dish as it was all so good, but I highly recommend the brussels, bao buns and burger for sure!
You seriously do not want to miss this Secret Garden Pop-up this Spring in Nashville. It’s easily one of my favorite things to do, during spring in Tennessee as a whole!
Looking for somewhere to stay during Spring Break in Nashville? Look no further than the Conrad Hotel. Not only is the location great (close enough to everything yet not in the mess of Broadway), but it’s also a stunning and relaxing hotel.
2. Tennessee Tulip Festival at Lucky Ladd Farms
Address: 4374 Rocky Glade Rd, Eagleville, TN 37060
Perfect for: Families and Date Days
Website: www.luckyladdfarms.com
For those of us with littles, Spring in Tennessee means getting the kids out of the house and getting some energy out in this beautiful weather. I cannot find a better place to spend Spring break in Nashville with your kids than at Lucky Ladd Farms for the Tennessee Tulip Festival.
Honestly Lucky Ladd Farms is one of the best things to do in Nashville any time of year. The property is huge and filled with SO many things for kids to do. Sure, they can walk through the petting zoo to feed and pet the animals. But they can also run around on the playground, learn how to lasso a horse, pump the water for a duck race, listen to live music and so, so, so much more.
I was blown away the first time we visited the farm and saw just how expansive the property was. They even have tons of food options and a gift shop to explore.
But the best thing to do in Nashville in the Spring specifically is to visit Lucky Ladd Farms for the Tennessee Tulip Festival. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, especially since we visited on the last weekend of the festival, but the field of tulips was massive!! There were thousands of tulips in bloom, and a wide variety of types and colors.
Honestly, I just came to see the flowers and get adorable photos of my daughter there. But I was shocked to learn that you can pick the tulips too! You can even take the bulbs to replant in your garden at home. This is such a fun thing to do this Spring in Nashville with or without kids in tow!
Tori’s Tip: Be sure to book tickets in advance as they do sell out and will turn you away! Also, if you’ll be visiting any other time of year, check out their website to see what else they have going on, including a pumpkin patch and a visit from Santa!
3. E-Bike Tour of the City
Address: 144 5th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219
Perfect for: The Active Traveler
Website: Nashville: Immersive E-Bike Tour
If I haven’t said it enough, there is nothing more wonderful than getting outside during Spring in Nashville. Is it just me, or does the winter seem to last forever?!? So when the warmer temps roll in, I want to spend as much time as humanly possible outside. What better way to see Nashville during these warm days than on e-bikes!
This e-bike tour is seriously the best way to see all of the major sights in downtown in a matter of just 2 hours!! You’ll get to learn tons about the city, see everything you want to see and more, plus stop at the best photo ops in town! If you’re visiting for Spring break in Nashville, or just want to see more of your city, then this tour is absolutely for you!
4. Nashville Sounds Game
Address: 19 Jr Gilliam Wy, Nashville, TN 37219
Perfect for: Kids and Baseball Fans
Website: www.milb.com/nashville
I’m a sucker for a baseball game and the Nashville Sounds are no exception!! While we might not have an MLB team in Music City (yet!!), our minor league team puts on an awesome show. We absolutely love going to Sounds games!
And the best part about baseball is that the season starts up each and every Spring so it had to be high on my list of the absolute best things to do this Spring in Nashville!
Check their schedule to see if they’re in town during your Spring break in Nashville, buy tickets and get ready for a hot dog and a game! There’s also plenty of space for kids to run around so be sure to bring the whole family, we even loved bringing our newborn as a way to get out of the house!
5. Go on a Hike
Address: 501 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203
Perfect for: Getting fresh air and an exercise
Website: Best Hikes in Nashville
This is a no-brainer, but getting out into nature is one of the best things we can do as the temperatures rise during Spring in Nashville! So, whether you live here, or are just visiting, I highly recommend going on a hike this time of year!
My list of the best hiking trails in Nashville includes a wide variety of hikes from long to short, flat to steep. And all are beautiful and full of lush greenery this time of year.
6. Predators Playoff Games
Address: 501 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203
Perfect for: First Dates of course! And literally everyone else.
Website: www.bridgestonearena.com/events/calendar
Spring in Nashville means playoff hockey season and the Nashville Predators have gotten really good! This means we will hopefully get plenty of playoff games to attend. My husband and I started dating during playoff hockey season and we spent many of our first dates watching the games, so it will always hold a special place in my heart!
The Predators play at Bridgestone Arena which is right in the middle of the action on Broadway. Make a night out of it and go out to dinner first at one of the amazing restaurants on Broadway before the game. Get your tickets and get ready to cheer as loudly as you can!
My biggest tip? Park in the Music City Center for Preds games and any other time you’re visiting downtown. The price for parking there is legitimately half the price of parking anywhere else. I’m not sure why, but it’s usually only $15-20 compared to the $50 we paid recently elsewhere!!
7. Concert Season Begins!
Address: Nissan Stadium: 1 Titans Way, Nashville, TN 37213
Perfect for: The Night Owls
Website: www.nissanstadium.com/upcoming-events/
Warm weather means a lot of amazing things…but one of my absolute favorites is the fact that concert season begins! Sure there’s concerts year round at Bridgestone Arena, The Ryman and the Grand Ole Opry, but at Nissan Stadium (where the biggest artists play) and Ascend Amphitheater the music starts now!
So, go take a look at the concert schedules (linked above) and find out when your favorite artists are coming to town during your Spring break in Nashville. No one here when you are visiting, or when you want to go? Don’t you worry, there’s TONS of amazing music venues in Nashville to choose from. There’s always fabulous live music to hear!
8. Easter at Cross Point
Address: 299 Cowan St, Nashville, TN 37213
Perfect for: Everyone (Because everyone’s welcome!)
Website: www.crosspoint.tv/
If you’re visiting Nashville during Easter and looking for a church to spend Easter Sunday, then look no further than Cross Point! With a location right in downtown (just 2 blocks from Nissan Stadium) it’s super convenient for any visitor!
Or, if you live in Nashville, I highly encourage you to give Cross Point a try for Easter this year, especially if you don’t already have a church. Cross Point is so incredibly welcoming and everything I could want in a church. They are the kindest group of people and Pastor Kevin is both hilarious and a great teacher.
Plus, Cross Point is one of the largest churches in Nashville, so you’ll be surrounded by so many others singing worship songs and celebrating!
9. Pontoon Ride on the River
Address: 2 Victory Ave #100, Nashville, TN 37213
Perfect for: Group Trips or Birthday Celebrations
Website: BYOB River Cruise
Something about the weather changing immediately makes me want to hit the water. So I vote you spend an afternoon taking a pontoon ride down the Cumberland River during your Spring break in Nashville!
This one and a half hour ride allows you to bring your own drinks onboard which is a huge plus. No $15 beer sold here! There’s plenty of seating on the boat, so kick back with your drink in your hand, admire the city skyline and listen to some fun commentary from your skipper!

10. Nashville’s Many Breweries

Okay sure, you can visit Nashville’s many fun breweries all year long, but you know they’re so much better when the weather is nice. They typically have big outdoor spaces with things to do, and live music to enjoy, so if you’re visiting Nashville in the Spring, you’re in for a treat!
I highly recommend you hop around to the different breweries in town; there’s over 20 of them! Some of the best are Fat Bottom Brewing, East Nashville Beer Works and Jackalope Brewing Company.
11. Cheekwood in Bloom
Address: 1200 Forrest Park Dr, Nashville, TN 37205
Perfect for: Families and Flower Enthusiasts
Website: https://cheekwood.org/
Once a home to local Nashvillians, the Cheekwood Estate is now a public botanic garden, arboretum and museum. Cheekwood is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year in Nashville (especially Christmas in Nashville!!) but the springtime holds something special; Cheekwood in Bloom.
For a few weeks during the Spring in Nashville, usually throughout part of March and April, you can visit the event Cheekwood in Bloom. The centerpieces of the event are the gorgeous flowers blooming all throughout the property, but they also have some activities to go along with the blooms. They offer property tours, activities for kids, live music and food options as well! Spend an afternoon this spring enjoying the beautiful property and all it has to offer.
12. Fridays by the River
Address: Riverview Pavilion at Shelby Park
Perfect for: Families
Website: Fridays by the River
Another fun and FREE thing to do for Spring Break in Nashville is Fridays by the RIver at Shelby Park! Several Fridays throughout the Spring Shelby Park partners with East Nashville Beer Works to host this fun event. There’s plenty of beer to purchase plus live music, games, food trucks and more.
It’s an extremely family friendly event and a great way to enjoy Spring in Nashville by the river with yummy food and great live music. Check their site to see which Fridays they are hosting the event this year!
13. Music in the Vines
Address: 6211 Patton Rd, Arrington, TN 37014
Perfect for: Wine Enthusiasts
Website: Music in the Vines
Okay, let’s be honest I am ALWAYS looking for an excuse to visit Arrington Vineyards, so Music in the Vines is a great reason to head to Arrington and drink some delicious wine!
Music in the Vines starts in April and runs through October. So while it’s not happening only in the Spring in Nashville, it’s always exciting to have it again each Spring!
The Vineyard hosts Music in the Vines every weekend, which includes fabulous bands playing live music and a variety of food trucks that change every day! Check their site to see who’s playing and what food trucks will be there!
14. Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival
Address: 1 Public Square, Nashville, TN 37201
Perfect for: Everyone
Website: Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival
So when you think Cherry Blossoms, you probably think Washington DC. At least I know I used to! This huge one day festival is the perfect thing to do for Spring Break in Nashville if you are here on the right date!
The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is a completely free event that celebrates Spring and Japanese culture. The festival offers lots of entertainment, activities for kids and adults, food, drinks and a cherry blossom walk! There’s over 1,000 Japanese cherry trees located throughout Nashville to enjoy this Spring whether you’re able to attend the festival or not!
15. Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival

Perfect for: Country Music Lovers
Website: Tin Pan South
Have you ever wondered who wrote your favorite country songs that you hear all over the radio? Well wonder no more! At the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival you’ll get to see the writers of the top country songs performing live throughout the city. It’s one of the best things to do in Nashville this Spring!

Spring in Nashville Outfits
If you’re anything like me, then planning what to wear for Spring Break in Nashville is equally as important as what to do. So here are some cute outfit recommendations to feel extra country while in Music City this Spring!
This T-shirt is a must for layering! Spring in Nashville means warm temps during the day and colder ones at night. So this is the perfect base layer!
If you want something similar that’s not Nashville specific, I love this tee!
As I said, layers are key, so this flannel is a must for me during spring break in Nashville! Perfect for cooler days or to throw on at night!
I absolutely love this denim dress! It’s perfect for any activity during Spring in Nashville, is great for layering and is super flattering on any body type. I also love how it’s legit denim and not just looks like denim. It’s thick but still comfy!
I love the bandana shirt look and there’s no better place to wear it than Nashville this Spring! Here’s a cute one from Amazon!
Another adorable t-shirt for warmer days, and I can’t help but love the saying!
A denim shirt is a must in Nashville and I love how this one is long and frayed at the bottom. Plus it’s available in tons of different colors! That black denim is calling my name!!
If you can’t already tell, denim is a must for spring Nashville outfits. So complete the collection with a cute denim skirt! Black, white or blue would be super cute here!
You’ll need a light jacket for Spring in Nashville and you cannot miss out on your opportunity to wear this fringed beauty! Seriously, this is a must. It’s so darn cute!
If the weather’s looking a little cooler during your stay, you’ll want to throw this adorable sweater into your suitcase.
Of course while in Nashville you’ll need the cutest cowgirl hat to compliment these outfits! I love this one because it’s on the smaller side and goes with everything!
And last but certainly not least, the most important part; cowgirl boots, of course! These are perfect for a trip to Nashville this Spring because they’re shorter, pair perfectly with every outfit and fit in your suitcase much easier.
Spring in Nashville Weather
Daily highs in Nashville during the Spring typically range from the low 60’s to the mid-80’s. While the temps can definitely go up and down in a matter of days, it’s typically super gorgeous during Spring in Nashville! So get ready to spend lots of time outside exploring Music City!
Where to Stay for Spring Break in Nashville
There’s tons of hotels all over Nashville to choose some which can get pretty overwhelming. Here’s some of my favorites!
The Conrad: As I mentioned above, The Conrad is a great place to stay because it’s home to Thistle and Rye plus it’s in a great location and is a sleek and modern property with exceptional service. Seriously even the bellman and valet were some of the nicest people!
The Graduate: Just down the road is another great place to stay for Spring break in Nashville, especially if you love Dolly Parton (which who doesn’t?!). This property is completely Dolly Parton themed and it literally doesn’t get better than that. Look at the pictures, its seriously the cutest!
The Bobby: Another one of my favorite places to stay for Spring break in Nashville is the Bobby Hotel. It’s located closer to Broadway than the other two mentioned above, it’s just a few short blocks from all the action. Plus it has one of my favorite rooftop bars in the city!
The Westin: This is another favorite of mine because it’s located right in between Broadway and the Gulch! But truthfully I just love it for the epic rooftop infinity pool.
The Hilton Downtown Nashville: And if you really want to stay right in the middle of the action, book a room at the Hilton to be steps from all your favorite honky tonks and some of the best things to do during Spring in Nashville!
