Babymoon in St. Petersburg
Recommended by Me!
We lived in St. Petersburg for many years, and it truly is one of the best babymoon in Florida destinations in the state! We had our babymoon in Hawaii, but had we not lived there I definitely would have considered St. Pete on the top of my list! Located in Central Florida on the west coast, it’s super easy to get to as both the Tampa and the St. Pete/Clearwater airports are within a 20 minute drive. So book a few nights at the best hotel in town, the Vinoy Resort, and relax for your dream honeymoon.
Downtown St. Pete is located on the bay with stunning views over the water. Spend much of your time wandering around the quaint coastal downtown area. The city is known for its art so check out some of the museums like the Dali or the Museum of Fine Arts.
The St. Pete Pier is one of the biggest destinations in the city as it’s massive and fairly new. There’s several restaurants there, a small beach, bike rentals, garden space and more. You won’t be bored!
Getting tickets to a Tampa Bay Rays Baseball game is a must! The games are fun but they’ve also got tons of local food vendors inside and a stingray touch tank! Plan your babymoon for the summer for this reason, or in the winter to have a warm winter getaway instead!
Since you’re on your babymoon in Florida, you’ll have to spend plenty of time relaxing. Book a day at the Woodhouse spa for a prenatal massage. And head to one of the many beaches just a short drive away, including St. Pete Beach, Clearwater Beach, or Anna Maria Island!
Where to eat in St. Pete
The food in town is some of the best in any city I’ve visited! There’s so many great places to eat in downtown St. Pete. Grab coffee at Paradeco Coffee Roasters. For brunch you’ll want to visit Cassis and happy hour is best spent at Ceviche, the tapas are outstanding, and they offer good specials! Sadly, you’ll have to avoid the ceviche dish since you’re pregnant, but don’t worry, there’s so much more delicious food to enjoy on their menu!
For dinner we adore Trophy Fish, it’s an outdoor casual restaurant that’s beautifully decorated and makes you feel like you’re stepping into a hidden garden. But the real reason you’ll want to come here is for the fresh seafood that changes daily depending on what’s fresh! After dinner, grab drinks (virgin for you of course) at Birchwood Canopy, a rooftop bar that overlooks the bustling downtown area and the water. It’s one of the best bars in St. Petersburg!

Babymoon in Key West
Recommended by Adam & Hannah of Getting Stamped
Key West is located at the southernmost point of the Florida Keys and is the most well-known destination of all the islands. Key West is the perfect place for a babymoon in Florida as soon-to-be parents can enjoy the relaxing sandy beaches during the day that feel like a tropical getaway, enjoy fabulous food at the delicious Key West restaurants, and even enjoy mocktails at some unique bars on Duval Street.
I know because this is where I took my babymoon with my first child! We did our gender reveal photos on Smathers Beach!
Even pregnant mamas can enjoy some fancy drinks as Sloppy Joes (the favorite watering hole of novelist Ernest Hemingway) and Green Parrot offer some amazing mocktail options.
Almost every pregnant mom enjoys food, so be sure to indulge in the amazing Key West restaurants located along the water that offer gourmet food using locally sourced produce, fresh fish, and seafood. Don’t forget to try the famous Key Lime Pie! Guests can enjoy the romantic atmosphere that allows couples to enjoy the sunset as they eat their meal alongside the water.
Stroll through downtown and check out the unique architecture, art installations, and boutique shopping, or if you need a rest, then take the trolley tour to learn more about the island’s history.
Lastly, spend some leisure time relaxing on the beach and enjoying the quiet moments together. Smathers Beach and Higgs Beach are popular beach options.
The Seascape Tropical Inn is the ideal accommodation as it is an adults-only bed and breakfast that is conveniently located close to many restaurants and attractions. This inn has a very calming vibe and offers amenities such as a locally sourced buffet breakfast daily and a secluded sundeck, garden, and pool for relaxing.
Babymoon in Punta Gorda
Recommended by Jennifer of Hill City Bride
Looking for a low-key coastal destination for your babymoon in Florida? Consider heading to Southwest Florida, where you’ll find the coastal city of Punta Gorda. Whether you travel via road trip or book a flight straight into the Punta Gorda airport, the area has plenty to offer those looking for a final getaway before welcoming a little one. The laid-back vibe of the Wyvern Hotel is perfect for centering your thoughts and finding peace in your room or at the rooftop pool.
Foodies will rejoice in the fact that freshly caught seafood is available throughout. Be sure to plan a stop at Peace River Seafood for tasty blue crabs. If you’re an animal lover, there are several opportunities to get up close to wildlife. See native animals at Peace River Wildlife Center, explore swamps at Babcock Ranch, or simply stroll or bike along the harbor to view various bird species.
To relax within a natural setting, a visit to Peace River Botanical and Sculpture Gardens is a babymoon itinerary must. Another highlight for a romantic time is taking a sunset cruise. Start at Fisherman’s Wharf, where you can eat and shop before you board your vessel. Then, sit and relax as your captain navigates the water as the sun sets on the horizon. It’s the perfect way to end a babymoon in Florida on the coast.
Babymoon in Orlando
Recommended by Me!
Orlando is the perfect destination for a babymoon in Florida if you are looking for an active getaway! Sitting on the beach all day every day not your thing? Then Orlando might be perfect for you as you get ready for the little one to arrive. Spend time with your significant other while acting like kids one last time before you have to be the parent!
It’s so easy to get to Orlando as they have one of the largest airports in the country. Hop in an Uber from the airport to get to your hotel. I recommend staying at the Marriott Orlando World Center. It’s a massive complex with some of the best pools and resort experience around!
While you’re in town, spend a few days at the parks, from Disney to Universal to SeaWorld, there’s something for everyone. And once your feet are sore from walking around the parks, head to the spa right at your hotel for a relaxing prenatal massage.
Looking for great food? Of course any of the restaurants on Disney property are amazing, but we also love Bahama Breeze, they make a mean virgin daiquiri!
Babymoon in Naples
Recommended by Victoria of Florida Trippers
If you’re looking for one of the best places to babymoon in Florida then you can’t beat Naples. Not only are there tons of high-end luxury resorts where you can pamper yourself with things like pregnancy massages, but Naples is a wonderfully romantic spot where you and your partner can connect on a deep and personal level.
In particular, the Ritz Carlton is an exceptional place to stay. Not only is it close to Vanderbilt Beach, which is a great place to watch the sunset, but they offer impeccable service and have an on-site spa where you can splurge on a special pregnancy massage or a romantic couples massage.
To get to this gorgeous beach town on the Gulf of Mexico in southern Florida you’ll wamt to fly into Ft. Myers (RSW) Airport since it is less than 30 miles from Naples. Upon arrival, you can either rent a car or take Flixbus to Naples in around 45 minutes.
You can then enjoy some of the best things to do in Florida and walk hand in hand through the beautiful Naples Botanical Garden before checking out some of the amazing birds, alligators, and manatees that can be found inside Everglades National Park. Just don’t leave the city without digging into a delicious French-inspired meal at Bleu Provence.
Babymoon in Miami
Recommended by Dan of Honeymoon Always
Miami is a perfect place for a Florida babymoon. You have the option to enjoy the weather, go to the beach, and splurge on a luxury resort while being immersed in a unique culture unlike any other in Florida. It is also a great destination to combine with a cruise getaway that leaves from Miami port.
Miami Beach is located in the southeastern part of Florida, along the Atlantic coast.
You can fly into Miami International Airport (MIA), which is a major airport with connections to various domestic and international destinations.
While in Miami on your babymoon, spend time relaxing on the famous South Beach. Consider renting a beach cabana or beach umbrella for added comfort and shade perfect for a babymoon.

Treat yourselves to a relaxing day at a luxurious spa. Many hotels and resorts in Miami offer top-notch spa facilities with a variety of pampering treatments tailored to expectant parents.
You can’t go to Miami without enjoying some of the amazing food. Check out Little Havana and try some of the Cuban-influenced cuisines.
Babymoon in Apopka
Recommended by Bett of Florida Vacationers
One of the best places to go on a babymoon in Florida is definitely Apopka.
Apopka is located in Central Florida, approximately a 30 minute drive from Orlando. It is therefore best to fly into Orlando and hire a rental car from there if you are traveling from the interstate.
There are quite a few fun activities to do in Apopka but we recommend going to Apopka for a babymoon due to its proximity to two of the best springs in Florida: Wekiwa Springs State Park and Kelly Park Rock Springs. You can also catch beautiful sunsets at Magnolia Park.
Kelly Park Rock Springs is great for a couple on a babymoon as it features a very relaxing slow flowing lazy river passing by American sweetgum, tulip trees, palms and oaks. You can rent a tube from one of the companies nearby or we would recommend bringing your own with you (you can buy one on amazon or at Walmart).
Wekiwa Springs State Park is another stunning natural spring in the area, known for being one of the clearest springs in the state with picturesque clear blue water, perfect for taking a leisurely dip and relaxing.
You can also kayak at both springs if you are feeling active or in the earlier months of your pregnancy.
There are some great places to stay in the area for couples with one of our favorites being Hilton Garden Inn Apopka City Center which has clean and comfortable rooms with good quality food at their restaurant if you don’t feel like eating out.
Babymoon in Rosemary Beach
Recommended by Rebecca of Fab 5 Family Travel
Rosemary Beach is nestled on a county road known as 30A, sandwiched between Panama City Beach and Destin. As you prepare to welcome that new baby into your family, you’ll want a place to relax and rest before the big day. Rosemary is the best destination for a babymoon in Florida that offers serene relaxation on the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico.
If you aren’t within driving distance of Florida’s Panhandle, you will want to fly into Panama City’s airport, only 30 minutes away. Once you are at the beach, you can park that car for good. Walk or bike to the beach, local restaurants, and shops.
Book a room at the iconic Pearl Hotel in the heart of the community. The Pearl is a relaxation oasis as well as a romantic venue. If the Pearl is too pricey, many of the homes rent out carriage houses, and this would be perfect for a couple.
During the day, you can relax under a beach umbrella on the sandy white beaches with a book, wade into the gorgeous turquoise blue waters, or take a break from the sun and browse the community shops. At dinner, grab a meal at Pescado or La Crema before wrapping up with a sweet treat from Sugar Shak.
A few tips: Spring break and summer are busy, so expect larger crowds and higher rates. I love the shoulder season as it’s less hot, plus fewer crowds. Even winter is nice because it is not too cold.
While you’re here, visit nearby Destin, FL, one of the best beaches with clear water in the world!
Babymoon in Palm Beach
Recommended by Rebecca of Veggies Abroad
If you want to get away for a babymoon in Florida for fun and relaxation, look no further than glamorous Palm Beach. The area is synonymous with luxury and opulence. It’s known for its upscale resorts, high-end shopping, and stunning beaches.
If you want to get a little sand between your toes, there’s no better place to go than the town’s namesake beach, Palm Beach. The long coastline is famous for its white sand and clear blue waters; it’s the perfect place to relax under an umbrella with a book or go for a swim.
After you’ve had enough fun in the sun, consider heading over the bridge to West Palm Beach to check out the town’s cute boutique shops, restaurants, and art scene. Art lovers shouldn’t miss the diverse collections at The Norton Museum of Art, but if you’re not interested in going inside, there is also plenty of street art throughout the downtown area. One great spot not to miss is Clematis Street; in addition to street art, you’ll also find cute boutiques and one of West Palm Beach’s best plant-based spots, Ve by Subculture.
If you’re looking for somewhere really unique to stay, consider the luxurious and historic Breakers Palm Beach. The beachfront location offers stellar views of the ocean. Getting to the area is easy; there are regular flights via The Palm Beach International Airport, and it’s also less than an hour from Fort Lauderdale.
Babymoon in Dunedin
Recommended by Cristina of Wander Florida
When you’re looking for the best place to babymoon in Florida, look no further than Dunedin. This quaint town in the Tampa Bay area often lands on “best of” lists as best small town, best beach town, etc. It’s also a great place for a quick getaway before parenthood takes hold of your life!
Dunedin’s quaint vibe comes from the historic downtown region which does not allow franchise businesses. As a result, you’ll find local businesses such as restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. Visitors to town often enjoy taking a stroll along the shady sidewalks, visiting the farmers’ market, and watching a sunset from the marina. The small town feel brings on relaxing and romantic feelings, channeling a time when living in the moment was a way of life.
When taking a Florida babymoon in Dunedin, stay at the historic Fenway Hotel in downtown Dunedin. Enjoy sunset views from the rooftop restaurant or enjoy a relaxing cup of tea on the front lawn. Enjoy some of the wonderful things to do in Dunedin, such as taking a stroll through town or a short drive to Honeymoon Island to enjoy a day at one of Florida’s most natural beaches.
Dunedin is easily accessible by car or fly into Tampa International Airport or St. Pete/Clearwater Airport, both about 45 minutes away. Dunedin’s central location also makes it an ideal place to use as a base to explore other nearby towns. St. Pete with its growing art districts is just 45 minutes away. Clearwater Beach is just 15 to 20 minutes away and accessible via trolley or ferry if you don’t have a car. And the quaint Greek community of Tarpon Springs with the world-famous Sponge Docks is just 10 miles away and also accessible via trolley.
Babymoon in St. Augustine
Recommended by Taryn of Chasing Trail
Nestled along Florida’s picturesque north Atlantic coast, St. Augustine stands out as one of the best and most unique babymoon destinations in the Sunshine State. St. Augustine is well-known for being the oldest city in the US, and famous worldwide for its over-the-top Christmas celebrations.
Any time of year, however, the city’s historic charm, tranquil ambiance, and abundance of pregnancy-friendly activities make St. Augustine an unforgettable getaway. Picture cobblestone streets, centuries-old architecture, and gorgeous Florida beaches — the city is brimming with romance and relaxation!
While St. Augustine doesn’t have its own major airport, it’s easily accessible from Jacksonville, just 45 minutes away.
Bump-friendly activities include relaxing at St. Augustine Beach or taking a historical tour. There are many options that do a fantastic job highlighting the city’s rich history, including hop-on, hop-off trolley tours that let you visit the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and Saint Francis Barracks.
Another great option that’s adventurous but still low-key enough to be safe for pregnancy is boating. You can book a sunset sail or, if you feel up to a low-impact workout, go kayaking with manatees! The guided trips are very gentle and super scenic, the perfect recipe for a romantic babymoon activity. Kayaking St. Augustine focuses specifically on beginner-friendly trips.
Right on the edge of Old Town, The Collector Inn is a wonderful place to stay for your Florida babymoon. The inn is adults-only, in a super walkable location, and offers late checkout.
Babymoon in Jupiter
Recommended by Me!
Another amazing babymoon in Florida destination is Jupiter. Located in south Florida, just 25 minutes north of West Palm, you can fly into the Fort Lauderdale airport for the easiest access. I helped my best friend plan her babymoon in Jupiter and it was a dream!
Jupiter is perfect for a dream babymoon. It’s a smaller beach town compared to the surrounding cities, so there’s lots of space to relax. But it’s also close enough to some of the best food and shopping to have your cake and eat it too! I mean, you are pregnant, you deserve all of the cake you want! Ha!
Spend lots of time at the beach, there’s many to choose from. We like Juno Beach or Jupiter Island. Then relax at some of the best spas, get a prenatal massage or a facial at the Pure Bliss Day Spa.
If you want to do some retail therapy (or find some adorable baby clothes for your new little bundle!!) then head into West Palm and enjoy the best shopping in the state on Worth Avenue. While you’re in town, grab some lunch at Rocco’s. Or back in Jupiter, sit on the water at Dive Bar restaurant. The food is great and it looks out over the yacht club so you can watch the boats come and go. And stay the week at Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place, right on the harbor!

Sarasota, Florida is an ideal destination for a babymoon in the Sunshine State. With its white sand beaches, laid-back atmosphere, and luxurious stays, you’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready to take on your next adventure.
There is an airport right in Sarasota, but the flights can be a bit spendy. For those looking for more affordable flights, Tampa International is just 60 miles away.
During this Florida babymoon, you can spend your days sunbathing on one of the many Sarasota beaches, hiking the trails at Myakka River State Park, admiring the art and architecture of The Ringling, or exploring the breathtaking Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
For a peaceful and romantic Florida babymoon, head to The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota. With waterfront views, exquisite dining options, and spa treatments designed for expectant parents, it’ll surely make for a memorable babymoon in Florida!
